🏃♀️ Cascades Park Shuffle – A Community for Walking, Running, and Giving Back 🏃♂️
The Cascades Park Shuffle is a monthly initiative started by Cascades Lifestyle Centre Manager, Michelle Chinnu, who saw an opportunity to build a running and walking community right in “our backyard.”
For years, Cascades Lifestyle Centre has been surrounded by a beautiful forest, lovingly maintained by KZN MTB. As the park is open to the public without an entry fee, it can be challenging for KZN MTB to financially sustain the upkeep of all the trails, which are enjoyed by walkers, runners, dog owners, and cyclists of all genres.
The first Cascades Park Shuffle took place on 18 July 2025 for Mandela Day. Michelle saw the potential to expand the concept, inviting corporate teams to walk or run not just for Mandela Day, but also to raise funds for charity. What began as a one-off event quickly developed into a monthly gathering focused on fitness, fun, and community impact.
The 2025 events were a huge success, thanks to the incredible support of attendees, sponsors, and the Cascades Lifestyle Centre team.

⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
💳 Entry Fee: R20 per person
🐶 Dog-Friendly: Dogs on leashes are welcome at no extra charge
🌦 Weather Dependant: Please follow us on social media for updates in case of bad weather.
🎟 Ticket Information:
• Pre-ticket sales are available at the Cascades Connect Kiosk during the week before each event (provided the weather outlook is favourable).
• Tickets will also be available on the day of the event at the gate.
In 2026, the Cascades Park Shuffle will continue once a month — and we would love for you to be part of it.
