Cascades Lifestyle Centre Celebrates 15 Years with a Life-Changing Win 🚗🎉
To celebrate the 15-year birthday of Cascades Lifestyle Centre under new ownership, Centre Management marked this milestone in a truly memorable way – by giving away a brand new Toyota Starlet to one lucky customer.
The Win a Car Competition officially kicked off on 1 October, rolling out across Cascades Lifestyle Centre’s digital platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and the Cascades Lifestyle Centre WhatsApp Channel. To further amplify awareness and engagement, an integrated print, in-centre, outdoor, and digital campaign was rolled out. This included billboards across Pietermaritzburg, eye-catching branding throughout Cascades Lifestyle Centre, continuous promotion on the Centre’s LED and in-centre TV screens, as well as three interactive social media competitions designed to encourage customer participation. The winners of the three R500 Cascades Lifestyle Centre Gift Cards were @Ichubelihle, @sarah_Bibi_Essa, and Claudette Pillay.
What made this competition especially meaningful was its heart. While the grand prize was a car, the initiative was carefully designed to give back to the community. Centre Manager, Michelle Chinnu, structured the competition so that entries required the purchase of a R10 Lifeboat voucher.
Lifeboat Pietermaritzburg plays a vital role in supporting the homeless community. These vouchers can be gifted to someone in need and exchanged for a meal, essential services such as a haircut or eye test, or an item of clothing. The competition not only created excitement but also helped raise awareness and support for the incredible work Lifeboat does in our city.
The response was overwhelming, with over 4 000 entries received – each one contributing to a greater cause. While there could only be one winner, the impact extended far beyond the final draw.
On 12 January 2026, Ntokozo Mkhabela was selected as the lucky winner. She was officially presented with the keys to her brand new Toyota Starlet on 16 January 2026, during a celebratory handover on the Piazza at Cascades Lifestyle Centre.
